About Moonbeam Astronomy Club

A volunteer astronomy club built for shared learning under real local skies.

Moonbeam began as a small group comparing notebook sketches after evening observing sessions. We still run the same way: volunteers gather practical notes, test viewing plans, and publish clear summaries for anyone curious about the night sky.

New to stargazing? You do not need advanced equipment or prior experience. Bring your questions, start with what you can see, and learn at a steady pace with the group.

What participating looks like

  • Check each meetup note for time, sky conditions, and target objects.
  • Join with binoculars, a telescope, or just your eyes and a simple star app.
  • Share one observation afterward so the next session starts smarter.
